Uzbekistan welcomes over 6.5 million International Tourists in first half of the year

TASHKENT, July 14. /Dunyo IA/.  In January-June 2026, Uzbekistan welcomed 6,565,410 foreign citizens who arrived in the country for tourism purposes, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the National Statistics Committee, the tourist inflow increased by 1.3 million people, or 24.9 percent, compared to the same period last year.

According to the National Statistics Committee, the largest number of tourists arrived from neighbouring Central Asian countries. Kyrgyzstan became the leader in terms of visits, with 1,875,332 people. It is followed by Kazakhstan (1,553,688) and Tajikistan (1,471,670).

The top ten countries by the number of tourists also included Russia (585,558), Afghanistan (238,925), China (223,479), Turkmenistan (164,211), Turkiye (95,466), India (26,450), and Germany (22,294).

According to experts, the growth in inbound tourism testifies to the growing attractiveness of Uzbekistan as a travel destination.
