DEAUVILLE, July 9. /Dunyo IA/.  In the city of Deauville in northern France, presentations showcasing the cultural, tourism and artisanal potential of Uzbekistan were held within the framework of the 2nd International Festival “Art-Storytelling Paris–Deauville 2026”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Festival took place in one of France’s most renowned coastal cities, which regularly hosts international events and enjoys immense popularity among tourists from all over the world.

Opening the event, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Nodir Ganiev, highlighted the rich cultural heritage of the country, emphasizing the harmonious blend of traditional artisanal craftsmanship and contemporary design. He also detailed the ongoing structural reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at developing tourism, preserving national values and expanding cultural cooperation with France, underscoring the vital significance of such initiatives for consolidating the international image of the country.

One of the central events of the festival was a fashion showcase featuring collections by designers from France, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Vietnam, Morocco, Eastern European countries and other nations. The runway presented garments that harmoniously combined contemporary design solutions with traditional Uzbek fabrics such as adras, atlas and silk - alongside elements of gold embroidery and national ornaments. The collections generated significant interest among the French public and international guests.

The event was attended by officials from the Municipality of Deauville, representatives of the tourism and cultural sectors, French designers, journalists, as well as compatriots residing in France.

Within the framework of the festival, specialized exhibition stands dedicated to the tourism potential of Uzbekistan were organized. The guests were provided with comprehensive information regarding the historic cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, which are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, alongside the development of ecotourism, national festivals, and the country's modern tourism infrastructure.

Furthermore, an exhibition of crafts by Uzbek masters was launched, showcasing samples of artistic ceramics, gold embroidery, hand embroidery, pottery and other types of traditional crafts. The national ornaments and the mastery of Uzbek artisans generated significant interest among foreign designers and visitors.

Event concluded with a tasting of Uzbek national cuisine. The guests were served pilaf, somsa and traditional sweets, which received high praise from the French public.
