Uzbek Mahalla Community Association Established in Seattle

SEATTLE, July 7. /Dunyo IA/. At the initiative of Uzbek compatriots residing in Seattle, Washington State, an official community organization, the Uzbek Mahalla, has been established, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The association has been officially registered by the Government of the State of Washington. Its legal recognition by Washington Secretary of State Steve Hobbs marks a historic milestone for the Uzbek community in Seattle.

More than 3,000 natives of Uzbekistan currently reside in Washington State. The majority live and work in Seattle and its surrounding areas, holding positions at leading global technology and multinational companies, including Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Boeing, Oracle, and NVIDIA. They have built successful careers in software development, artificial intelligence, engineering, aviation, healthcare, and entrepreneurship.

Compatriot Musa Kholmuradov, who has over 15 years of experience in the U.S. public administration system, has been appointed Chairman of the Uzbek Mahalla. He currently serves in a senior leadership position at the Washington State Department of Corrections.

The association's primary objectives include strengthening unity among compatriots, organizing national holidays and cultural events, facilitating the social adaptation of Uzbek citizens who have recently arrived in the United States, and fostering among younger generations a deep appreciation for their native language, national traditions, and cultural heritage.
