NEW YORK, August 26. /Dunyo IA/. Ahead of the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's state independence, a new digital service has been launched in the USA that allows for direct money transfers to HUMO and UZCARD bank cards, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The service is implemented on the uPay.net fintech platform, which was created in New York by entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan, Khusrav Mahmudov and Akmal Abdullayev. It is primarily aimed at their compatriots living and working in the USA who maintain close ties with their relatives in Uzbekistan.
Previously, users of the platform could remotely pay for mobile, internet, utility, and other services in Uzbekistan. Now, they have the ability to make direct money transfers from the USA to cards of the national payment systems HUMO and UZCARD.
All transactions are conducted digitally. According to the company, special attention was paid during the service's launch to complying with the financial regulations of the USA and Uzbekistan, ensuring transaction security, and providing user convenience. The necessary banking, technological, and compliance infrastructure was established for this purpose.
The project's initiators are in contact with the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in New York and organizations of their compatriots to discuss the needs of the diaspora and the further development of digital services.
The launch of transfers from the USA is considered the first stage of the project. In the future, there are plans to expand the geography of the transfers, integrate new financial instruments, and develop services for people from Central Asia.
