WARSAW, August 31. /Dunyo IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland hosted a cultural and educational event dedicated to the 35^th anniversary of the country’s independence and the presentation of “Millat Shavkati” (“The Nation’s Glory”), a book by Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions, Senator Kudratilla Rafikov, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by compatriots residing in Poland, including entrepreneurs, academics, specialists from major IT and financial institutions, students.

During the meeting, the book “Millat Shavkati” was presented. It covers large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It was noted that the publication provides a deeper insight into transformations in the political, socio-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as measures aimed at improving the well-being of the population and strengthening human dignity.

Participants were also informed about efforts to improve public and state administration, develop modern infrastructure, improve urban areas, strengthen historical identity, good-neighbourly relations and mutual trust in Central Asia, and pursue Uzbekistan’s open and pragmatic foreign policy.

The book generated considerable interest among the compatriots. During an open dialogue, representatives of the Embassy answered questions from participants.

The event continued with a screening of the President of Uzbekistan’s congratulatory address on the occasion of the 35^th anniversary of the country’s independence, followed by a concert program.

Particular attention was drawn to the initiatives of the head of state aimed at improving the quality of education and training a new generation of specialists with modern knowledge and professional skills. The compatriots welcomed plans to implement seven national programs, further develop the economy based on high technologies and increase labour productivity, as well as strengthen Uzbekistan’s international standing as a country of peace, friendship and tolerance.

Students expressed support for the introduction of international educational standards in technical colleges and plans to include at least 10 universities of Uzbekistan among the world’s top 1,000 universities in the coming years.

At the conclusion of the event, participants were congratulated on Independence Day. During the gathering, the importance of preserving national values, strengthening mutual support and solidarity among compatriots abroad, fostering patriotism and respecting cultural heritage was emphasized.

Guests were also treated to a concert featuring Uzbek national songs and musical compositions, as well as a festive table with national cuisine, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Such events contribute to strengthening Uzbekistan’s ties with compatriots abroad, preserving national identity and further developing constructive engagement with the Uzbek community in Poland.
