WARSAW, September 22. /Dunyo IA/.  An official reception was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 35^th Anniversary of our country's Independence, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

About 200 guests participated in the solemn event, including members of the government and parliament of Poland, public figures, representatives of the diplomatic corps, business, media and compatriots. Among the honoured guests were Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wojciech Zajączkowski, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Development and Technology and Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation Michał Jaros, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Digital Affairs Rafał Rosiński, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland Radosław Gruk, Chairman of the Sejm Committee on Economy and Development Rafał Komarewicz, Member of the Sejm and former Minister of Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau, Vice-President of the Constitutional Tribunal Bartłomiej Sochański, as well as President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce Andrzej Arendarski.

Ceremony was also attended by a parliamentary delegation of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Rakhimjon Khakimov, which was on a visit to Poland.

Opening the festive reception, Ambassador Amirsaid Agzamkhodjaev spoke about the large-scale and irreversible reforms, the ongoing modernization processes, as well as Tashkent's commitment to open international cooperation and the current state of Uzbek-Polish relations.

In his speech, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland Wojciech Zajączkowski emphasized that the people of Uzbekistan, having freely chosen their path of development, have transformed the country into a reliable state that makes a significant contribution to the stability of the Central Asian region:

“Today, Uzbekistan is not only an independent state but also a country demonstrating high standards of development across the political, social, economic and cultural spheres, Wojciech Zajączkowski stated. - Since the early 1990s, Polish-Uzbek relations have assumed a sustainable and comprehensive character. Over the past decade, we have succeeded in forging robust ties. Within the last two years alone, nearly ten high-level Polish delegations have visited your country, including the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Agriculture, the Minister of Education, the Deputy Marshal of the Senate, and others”.

As part of the ceremony, letters of appreciation from the Embassy were presented to Polish politicians, entrepreneurs and cultural figures who have contributed to the development of bilateral ties.

Evening continued with a rich program. A concert featuring Uzbek and Polish performers was held, complemented by national cuisine and a photo exhibition reflecting the country's history and tourism potential. Within the framework of the economic presentation, a light and textile industry exhibition took place, where the Uzbekistan Trade Hub in Łódź, along with the brands “Babacio”, “Aisha Home”, “IMIR” and the Andijan enterprise “Samo Textile”, presented their products, attracting high interest from Polish business circles.

Official reception took place in a friendly atmosphere and will serve to further expand the multifaceted partnership between the two states.
