View from Germany: We are pleased to observe how Uzbekistan has been developing at a rapid pace in recent years

BERLIN, June 20. /Dunyo IA/. Chairwoman of the Board of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, Katrina Klaas-Mühlhäuser, shared her views with Dunyo IA on the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, held in Uzbekistan’s capital on June 16–18, and on German-Uzbek relations:

— Germany’s Federal President expressed great satisfaction with his visit to Uzbekistan. He consistently places special importance on strengthening mutual understanding, dialogue, and people-to-people contacts, as well as expanding economic cooperation.

We are pleased to observe how Uzbekistan has been developing at a rapid pace in recent years, consistently implementing modernization processes and carrying out large-scale positive transformations. These developments contribute not only to the country’s economic growth but also to the further strengthening of dialogue and cooperation between our two countries.

It is encouraging that Germany regularly maintains dialogue and holds meetings at various levels with all countries of the region. During this year’s meeting of the foreign ministers of the Central Asian states, issues related to the further development of regional cooperation were also discussed. We consider such dialogue particularly important in the current complex geopolitical environment.

In my view, these two important events open a new practical stage in Uzbek-German relations and create significant opportunities for further expanding trade, economic, investment, and technological cooperation.
