Meeting in Istanbul Discusses Protection of Rights and Interests of Uzbekistan Citizens

ISTANBUL, June 20. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats of the Consulate General held a meeting with the Head of the Population and Civil Affairs Department of the Beşiktaş district, Ülker Aygün, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the residence of citizens of Uzbekistan in Türkiye, population registration procedures, and current aspects of civil status documentation.

Particular attention was paid to strengthening practical cooperation between the two sides and ensuring the prompt and effective resolution of problems arising in the process of providing public services to compatriots.

Views and proposals were also exchanged on improving information sharing related to civil status records – including birth, marriage, divorce, and other documents – as well as on further development of interagency cooperation mechanisms.

During the talks, the importance of timely consideration of citizens’ appeals in accordance with applicable legislation was emphasized, along with the broader use of effective cooperation mechanisms to protect their rights and interests.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the consistent development of cooperation in the field of population and civil status matters, to intensify information exchange, and to expand joint efforts aimed at improving the quality of services provided to citizens of Uzbekistan.
