LONDON, September 29. /Dunyo IA/.   A meeting was held in London between a delegation led by the Deputy Chairman of the Tax Committee of Uzbekistan Jakhongir Abdiev and Senior Officials of Revenue and Customs (HMRC) of the United Kingdom, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, British side was presented with comprehensive information on the outcomes of the work being carried out in Uzbekistan regarding the digital transformation of tax administration, developments in the application of artificial intelligence within the operations of tax authorities, as well as the key priority areas for the development of tax administration until 2030.

British colleagues expressed particular interest in Uzbekistan's experience concerning the complete transition to electronic invoicing and the utilization of the data generated on their basis in tax administration.

In turn, the delegation of Uzbekistan familiarized itself with the development strategy of the UK tax authority, approaches to tax risk management, administration of Value Added Tax (VAT), as well as the provision of services to taxpayers, including large taxpayers.

Following the meeting, parties emphasized their mutual interest in the further development of cooperation in areas such as enhancing taxpayer services, interaction with large taxpayers, tax risk management, VAT administration, application of digital technologies and artificial intelligence and the professional development of specialists.

Furthermore, the sides expressed particular interest in further strengthening interaction within the framework of multilateral tax cooperation, including the OECD Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes, implementation of the BEPS Actions, as well as developing cooperation within the Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA).
