65 Killed in Lebanon During First 10 Days of Ceasefire, Seven Including Child Killed in Gaza in Past 24 Hours

BEIRUT, July 8. /Dunyo IA/. Around 65 people have been killed and more than 170 injured in Israeli strikes during the first 10 days of the Lebanon-Israel ceasefire agreement, with between 180 and 230 violations by Israel recorded during the period, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing the Lebanese newspaper “Al-Akhbar.”
The reported violations included airstrikes, artillery shelling, ground incursions, and intensive drone flights. Israeli artillery targeted several areas near the border.
A source in Lebanon’s security services said Israeli settlers crossed into southern Lebanon under military protection, while the Israeli army used a drone to install a flag on the eastern side of Ali al-Taher Heights.
Meanwhile, according to “Reuters,” at least seven Palestinians, including a child, were killed in the Gaza Strip as a result of Israeli airstrikes and exchanges of fire.
Medical sources said several Israeli airstrikes struck near tent camps housing displaced families. In Gaza City, three people, including a child, were killed in an airstrike on a vehicle.
One of the victims was identified as Mohammed al-Wahidi, who worked with an Egyptian aid committee providing assistance to Palestinians in the enclave. The Israeli military told “Reuters” that its target was Hamas militants.
Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect eight months ago, more than 1,070 Palestinians and four Israeli soldiers have been killed in Gaza.
