BEIJING, January 8. /Dunyo IA/. An article was published in the Chinese travel magazine “Target” under the headline “Winter in Uzbekistan - a Time for Travel, Inspiration, and Discovery”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The article notes that modern Uzbekistan is a country of friendly and responsive people, rich history and culture, stunning architecture, and ancient traditions. Every visitor can feel safe here: the country has a tourist police force, sanitary standards are strictly observed, and in terms of safety, Uzbekistan ranks among the calmest and most welcoming destinations in the world.
“In winter, the country reveals a new side - snow-covered mountains, the bright lights of cities, and the warmth of Eastern hospitality create a unique atmosphere. Uzbekistan becomes a true centre for winter recreation, where visitors can enjoy both active entertainment and peaceful time in nature. The country is ready to welcome everyone - from professional athletes and experienced skiers to those trying skiing for the first time or simply seeking inspiration among the mountain landscapes”, the publication emphasizes.
Just 65 kilometres from the capital, on the northern slopes of Mount Maigashkan, lies the modern ski resort “Amirsoy” - one of the largest projects in Uzbekistan's winter tourism sector.
“Another centre for winter recreation in Uzbekistan is Zaamin - a picturesque spot located among the mountains of the Jizzakh region. It is called the “Uzbek Switzerland” for its harmonious combination of majestic mountain landscapes, the purest air, and the tranquillity that envelops everything around”, the article states.
Winter recreation opportunities are also available in the capital. In Tashkent, modern ice facilities such as the “Humo Arena” ice palace, the “Ice City” sports and entertainment complex, and the “Ice Avenue” skating rink are open. These venues allow visitors to engage in hockey, curling, figure skating, short track, and other winter sports.
“Winter Uzbekistan is an amazing combination of Eastern warmth and snowy charm. Here, visitors can enjoy active recreation in the mountains, rejuvenate in sanatoriums, discover ancient legends, and soak up the festive atmosphere. Such a trip becomes not just a journey, but a true winter adventure that you’ll want to experience again”, concludes “Target”.
