Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan conclude Joint Demarcation Commission meeting in Osh

OSH, March 9. /"Dunyo" IA/. Yesterday, the latest session of the working groups within the Joint Uzbek-Kyrgyz Demarcation Commission concluded in Osh.

Convened from March 4-8, the meeting encompassed an appraisal of the 2023 activities and endorsement of the 2024 meeting itinerary. Key topics under deliberation included the delineation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz State border, formulation of demarcation maps, and establishment of a specialized geodetic network.
The negotiations took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
Subsequent to the gathering, a corresponding Protocol was duly endorsed.
The next meeting of the working groups will take place in Uzbekistan.
It is worth recalling that the antecedent round of talks convened from November 21–26, 2023 in Andijan, focusing on matters pertaining to the demarcation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz interstate border, as well as the necessary field surveys were carried out on certain border segments.
