Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Russia begin talks in Samarkand

SAMARKAND, April 23. /Dunyo IA/. Today, negotiations between the delegations of Uzbekistan and Russia, led by Foreign Ministers Bakhtiyor Saidov and Sergey Lavrov, commenced in Samarkand, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
"The talks between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation began in a friendly and constructive atmosphere", wrote Akhror Burkhanov, the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, on his Telegram channel. – The sides are discussing the current state and future prospects of political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, along with exchanging views on regional and international issues.
During the negotiations, special attention is being given to further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, particularly in the implementation of joint projects and expanding cooperation in various areas".
It is worth noting that the delegation of Russia, headed by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, arrived in Samarkand yesterday.
