TASHKENT, September 26. /Dunyo IA/. The 20^th International Diplomatic Futsal Tournament has opened in Tashkent, bringing together representatives of the diplomatic corps, international organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and its Diplomatic Service, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The anniversary tournament features 20 teams.

The competition was launched in 1999 and has since become an established tradition and a symbol of friendship, mutual respect, trust and open communication among representatives of diplomatic communities from different countries.

The opening ceremony highlighted the importance of open and constructive dialogue in international relations, noting that the tradition continues on the sports field, where diplomats can meet in an informal setting, demonstrate team spirit and strengthen existing ties.

Over the years, the tournament has developed beyond sporting competition into a platform for fostering friendly relations, promoting international cooperation and expanding informal contacts among members of the diplomatic community.
