BERLIN, July 2. /Dunyo IA/.  Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany hosted the inaugural Kurultai of compatriot educators residing in the country, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Primary objective of the forum was to strengthen cooperation among educators, leverage their advanced expertise and initiatives for the education system of Uzbekistan and enhance collaboration within the field of school education.

Opening the event, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov, noted that the advancement of education and science, the preservation of national heritage, and the strengthening of ties with compatriots abroad constitute vital pillars of state policy. He emphasized the profound contribution of Uzbek educators, scientists and intellectuals in popularizing national culture, language and spiritual values among the youth.

Within the framework of the forum, representatives of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan’s project titled “Turkestan Literature in Germany” presented the inaugural volume of the eponymous compilation, dedicated to studying Turkestan literature, Jadid movement, and the legacy of Uzbek enlighteners within Germany’s academic circles. Concurrently, reports were delivered on the pivotal role of the Jadids in the development of standards, metrology and quality culture.

Winners of the republican contest “In the Footsteps of the Jadids” delivered presentations and literary performances dedicated to the activities of Uzbek enlighteners who pursued their education in Germany, and recited poems dedicated to the Motherland.

Participants of the gathering discussed the advancement of cooperation in education, as well as the teaching of the Uzbek language, literature, and culture to the younger generation. Furthermore, they put forward an initiative to establish the Society of Educators of Uzbekistan in Germany and to organize joint scientific and educational events.

Head of the 'Turkestan Literature in Germany' project, Professor Shakhnoza Madaeva, noted that the forum featured the presentation of the first volume of the compilation prepared by the Coordination and Methodological Center for the Contemporary History of Uzbekistan. According to her, the delegation's visit was organized at the highest level and left the most positive impressions.

A participant of the project, Dr. Azamat Amirov, emphasized that the forum injected a new momentum into further academic and research activities. He underscored the vital importance of such events in popularizing national culture and history among the younger generation, and strongly advocated for expanding scientific and educational encounters as well as delegation exchanges between Uzbekistan and Germany.

Chairman of the jury for the “In the Footsteps of the Jadids” competition, Dr. Bakhrom Irzaev, stated that the primary objective of the contest is to convey the profound ideas of the Jadid enlighteners to the youth and to cultivate a generation deeply conscious of its responsibility toward the Motherland, the people and the state. In his view, the events held in Germany will significantly foster growing interest among young people in both the legacy of the Jadids and science.
