• 67KUWAIT, March 10. /Dunyo IA/. Embassy of Uzbekistan organized the transportation of fellow citizens - 16 adults and 26 minors - from Kuwait to the city of Riyadh by bus, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The group departed from Kuwait and arrived at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. To ensure smooth passage, the embassy sent official notes to the relevant authorities in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
During the nearly 12-hour journey, two diplomats accompanied the citizens, assisting with border procedures and airport formalities in Riyadh. They also provided consular, legal and organizational support for registration on flights to Jeddah.
Tickets were subsequently arranged for all 42 citizens from Jeddah to Uzbekistan. Due to the unstable regional situation, family heads prioritized sending women and children home first.
Furthermore, on March 9, a citizen of Uzbekistan, D.Yu., residing in Iraq, contacted the Embassy requesting assistance in returning home. It was established that she is legally married to an Iraqi citizen working in the medical field and decided to return to Uzbekistan due to the situation in the region and her father’s illness.
Subsequently, she was assisted in leaving Iraq via an international bus route through Türkiye. She further plans to fly from Istanbul to the city of Urgench."
