Embassy of Uzbekistan facilitates the repatriation of a compatriot from the Czech Republic

PRAGUE, July 20. /Dunyo IA/.  Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Czech Republic has provided consular assistance to a compatriot who found himself in a difficult life situation, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Citizen M.H. arrived in the Czech Republic in 2025 and subsequently resided temporarily in the Polish city of Wrocław for employment purposes. In February 2026, while staying in Prague, his international passport was stolen, leaving him without identification documents and causing significant difficulties in restoring his legal status and returning to Uzbekistan.

Following the citizen's request, Embassy promptly extended the necessary consular assistance. As a result of the measures taken, potential deportation was averted and a certificate of return to Uzbekistan was officially issued.

Furthermore, through close coordination with the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, a portion of the airfare expenses for his return was covered by the Czech side. The compatriot subsequently returned safely to his homeland.

Diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan abroad continue to provide comprehensive assistance to citizens facing difficult circumstances and remain steadfast in protecting their rights and interests beyond the country's borders.
