A delegation from Uzbekistan holds talks with the Prime Minister of Croatia

ZAGREB, May 21. /Dunyo IA/. From May 17th to 21st, Abdulaziz Kamilov, Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan on Foreign Policy Issues, paid a working visit to Croatia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Within the framework of the program, meetings were held with Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of Croatia; Oleg Butković, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure; Gordan Grlić-Radman, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Tonči Glavina, Minister of Tourism and Sport.

During the negotiations, parties discussed the current state and prospects for the further development of Uzbek-Croatian relations, issues of strengthening political dialogue and expanding practical cooperation between the two countries, as well as activating the exchange of visits at the highest and high levels. Special attention was paid to developing cooperation in the trade, economic, and investment spheres, promoting joint projects and expanding interagency contacts.

The interlocutors emphasized the existence of significant potential for further deepening bilateral cooperation in areas such as transport and logistics, energy, industrial cooperation, digitalization, information and communication technologies, tourism, infrastructure development and other sectors of mutual interest.

Within the framework of the visit, negotiations were also held with representatives of leading Croatian companies and business circles. During the meetings, the sides discussed prospects for expanding investment, trade and economic cooperation, implementing joint projects, attracting modern technologies and strengthening direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries.

An agreement was reached on the participation of Croatian companies in the upcoming Tashkent International Investment Forum, which will take place on June 16–18, 2026.

Following the visit, the mutual interest in further strengthening the Uzbek-Croatian partnership, expanding practical cooperation and promoting new joint initiatives aimed at deepening bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Croatia was reaffirmed.
