WARSAW, May 21. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland took part in an international scientific conference on “Processes of global and regional integration in conditions of geopolitical and economic changes”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event, which took place at the Bialystok School of Economics, was also attended by representatives of the Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and the Research Institute of Irrigation and Water Problems.

Within the framework of the conference, Bahrom Tulaganov, Rector of the Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and Ilhom Mahmudov, Doctor of Technical Sciences from the Research Institute of Irrigation and Water Problems, delivered their presentations. They provided information on reforms in Uzbekistan in the field of urban planning, modernization of the irrigation system and solutions to water scarcity problems in the region.

During the event, Aleksander Prokopiuk, Rector of the Bialystok School of Economics, presented honorary diplomas to the representatives of Uzbek universities for their contribution to the development of cooperation between the educational institutions of the two countries.

Also within the framework of the visit, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and Bialystok Technical University. The document provides for the launch of dual education programs at the bachelor's and master's levels in the fields of “Architecture”, “Construction of Buildings and Structures”, and “Engineering Communications”.

Additionally, Bialystok Technical University and the Research Institute of Irrigation and Water Problems agreed to implement joint scientific projects in the fields of irrigation and drainage and geoinformation systems, improve management methods for saline soils and train young scientific personnel.
