TASHKENT, May 13. /Dunyo IA/. With the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, a visit to Tashkent was organized for a Pakistani delegation led by Muhammad Azam Malik, head of one of the largest leather manufacturing companies, “Royal Leather Industries Limited”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Within the framework of the visit, members of the Pakistani delegation held talks with Nozimjon Kholmurodov, Director of the Uzbekistan Light Industry Development Agency.

During the meeting, questions of further expanding cooperation between the two countries in the leather and footwear industry, implementing investment projects and increasing export potential were discussed.

Special attention was paid to the prospects of implementing a project to establish a modern industrial zone specializing in the production of finished leather goods in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region. Within the framework of the project, plans include expanding the output of high-value-added products, introducing modern technologies and organizing the production of goods that comply with international standards.

It was noted that the launch of this industrial zone will make it possible to expand the volume and geography of exports to the markets of Europe, the USA, and other major international markets, create new jobs, increase the competitiveness of the local leather and footwear industry and bring it to a qualitatively new level. Furthermore, the project is expected to facilitate the formation of new cooperation ties for local producers.

Also during the talks, the parties exchanged views on the development of industrial cooperation in the leather industry, the introduction of innovative manufacturing technologies, the expansion of the assortment of export-oriented products and the increase of opportunities for entering international markets.

It was emphasized that the long-standing experience, advanced technologies, and international partnerships of “Royal Leather Industries Limited” are of great importance for the introduction of modern manufacturing processes in Uzbekistan.

“Royal Leather Industries Limited” was founded in 1986 and today is one of the largest vertically integrated leather manufacturers in Pakistan. The enterprise cooperates with well-known brands in Europe, the USA and other international markets, exporting high-quality leather goods.
