Representative of Uzbekistan participates in the 18th Euro-Asian Law Congress in Yekaterinburg

YEKATERINBURG, June 12. /Dunyo IA/. Member of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and Director of the National Center for Human Rights, Akmal Saidov, took part in the 18th Euro-Asian Law Congress under the theme "Law and the New Reality," reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The Euro-Asian Legal Congress has been held annually in Yekaterinburg since 2007. It is organized by the V.Yakovlev Ural State Law University and the Association of Lawyers of Russia. This year’s event focused on the theme "Law and the New Reality" and brought together over 2,000 delegates from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Brazil, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, China, India, and the UAE. Participants included prominent legal experts, scholars, policymakers, and business leaders.
The congress featured around 50 events, including 14 panel discussions, seven strategic sessions, and nine roundtables. The event was supported by Governor Denis Pasler and the Government of Sverdlovsk Region.
Speaking at the plenary session of the Euro-Asian Law Congress and the Alekseev Readings titled "The Ascent of Law: Stages of an Era", Akmal Saidov addressed global development trends, current issues of international cooperation and the rule of law, digital transformation in the legal field and legal science, legal aspects of economic integration, and the impact of the technological revolution on the legal system.
During his visit, Akmal Saidov also met with Deputy Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations of Sverdlovsk Region Lyudmila Berg, the region’s Commissioner for Human Rights Tatyana Merzlyakova, and Rector of the V. Yakovlev Ural State Law University Vladimir Bublik. The meetings included exchanges of views on international and national law and discussions on strengthening cooperation between legal experts of Uzbekistan and Russia.
