Uzbekistan ranks first in quality of Medical Education in India

NEW DELHI, June 2. /Dunyo IA/. According to the results of the December 2025 session of the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) published by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) of India, Uzbekistan ranked first in passing percentage among the leading countries providing medical education, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the official report, the cumulative pass rate for medical graduates from Uzbekistan stood at 40.37%. This result was the highest among the “Top 10” countries whose degrees are recognized in India.
Uzbekistan confidently outperformed its closest competitors in the ranking. The distribution of positions by pass percentage is as follows:
1. Uzbekistan — 40.37%
2. Bangladesh — 34.45%
3. Georgia — 32.36%
4. Russia — 30.94%
5. Kazakhstan — 29.33%
6. Nepal — 23.92%
7. Ukraine — 21.48%
8. Kyrgyzstan — 20.21%
9. Philippines — 18.56%
10. China — 14.26%
These data confirm the high standard of curricula and clinical training in Uzbekistan's higher education institutions, which align with international benchmarks.
The performance of Samarkand State Medical University deserves special recognition, having demonstrated a success rate of 42%. This represents one of the highest individual institutional outcomes among all medical universities whose graduates sat for the examination.
The Indian educational company “MD House”, which promotes medical education, noted that this milestone will significantly bolster confidence in Uzbek medical degrees among students and parents across India.
“This achievement reflects the high standard of medical education and student training provided by the country's universities. We are actively promoting this success in India to strengthen trust and raise awareness about the advantages of studying in Uzbekistan”, - the company commented.
By securing the top position in the prestigious NBEMS ranking, Uzbekistan not only reaffirms its status as one of the premier destinations for medical education in the region but also demonstrates its capacity to train specialists who are in high demand in major international markets, such as India.
