WARSAW, June 1. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan participated in the business forum “New Economic Diplomacy – Supporting Businesses in Foreign Expansion into Central Asia”, organized by the Poland-Asia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the National Economy Bank of Poland (BGK), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by the President of the Poland–Asia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Poland Janusz Piechociński, Director of the International Cooperation Department at BGK Piotr Jabłoński, representatives of the diplomatic corps and media, as well as around 100 Polish entrepreneurs operating in logistics, industry, construction, food, textiles, and IT sectors.

During the forum, the head of the diplomatic mission delivered a speech detailing the large-scale and irreversible reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, economic liberalization, private sector support, favourable conditions created for foreign investors, and the country's strategic role in Central Asia.

Particular attention was paid to the current state of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Poland, issues of increasing mutual trade turnover, as well as prospects for interaction in the fields of industrial cooperation, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, green energy, the transport and logistics sector, and IT. Polish companies were invited to actively participate in the activities of free economic zones, industrial clusters and privatization processes in Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the forum, video materials dedicated to the economic and investment potential of Uzbekistan were demonstrated. Representatives of the Polish business community showed great interest in the reforms underway in the country, guarantees for investors, and promising projects, reaffirming their growing interest in expanding economic cooperation with the states of Central Asia, primarily with Uzbekistan.

Following the event, the participants were invited to attend the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, which will take place on June 16–18th.
