Uzbekistan presents it’s cultural and tourism potential at an international exhibition in Tianjin
TIANJIN, June 1. /Dunyo IA/. At the major international exhibition and forum “World Intelligence Expo 2026” in the Chinese city of Tianjin, dedicated to artificial intelligence and smart technologies, the culture and tourism potential of Uzbekistan was presented, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was attended by representatives of ministries and departments of China and foreign countries, large manufacturing companies, specialists in the fields of tourism, information technology, and artificial intelligence, members of diplomatic missions and representatives of leading media outlets.
The participants of the forum were briefed on the comprehensive reforms underway across all sectors of our nation, the systematic initiatives being implemented within the tourism industry, as well as the “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy, which is aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of the sector.
Within the framework of this strategy, the implementation of the Unified National Tourism Platform was highlighted. This platform integrates electronic visa services, hotel registration, transport connectivity, online booking engines, and digital tourist services into a single, user-friendly system.
It was also emphasized that tourism is actively expanding in the historical cities of Samarkand and Bukhara through the implementation of “Smart City” services, including intelligent transport systems, digital navigation, public safety technologies, and solutions aimed at enhancing the experience of residents and city guests.
The pavilion of Uzbekistan showcased the country's rich cultural heritage, handicraft traditions, and tourism potential. Samples of national applied arts presented by Uzbek artisans - including ceramics and other traditional handicrafts - attracted significant interest from the exhibition participants. Live demonstrations by the craftsmen, alongside national musical and dance performances presented to the audience, lent a particularly festive atmosphere to the event.
Overall, this global exhibition, which featured over 700 companies, placed robotics, smart city solutions, drone technologies, and digital infrastructure at its center. The “World Intelligence Expo 2026” served not only as a demonstration of technology but also as an important international platform for discussing global innovations, the digital economy and the industries of the future.
