Tashkent hosts Central Asian Badminton Championship

TASHKENT, September 19. /Dunyo IA/. Yesterday, the official opening ceremony of the Central Asian Badminton Championship took place in the capital city, Tashkent, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the National Olympic Committee, the opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Badminton Federation Aziz Abdukhakimov, Minister of Sports, Adkham Ikramov, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, Kongratbay Sharipov, as well as representatives of the Badminton Asia Confederation. During the event, they highlighted the development of sports in Uzbekistan and extended their best wishes to all participants of the championship.
It is worth noting that the tournament will continue until September 22, with approximately 100 athletes from seven countries competing.
The competition program includes team events, singles, doubles, and mixed doubles across the age categories of U-15, U-17, and U-23.
