“Gulf Times”: Uzbekistan and Qatar take partnership to a new level

DOHA, September 11. /Dunyo IA/.   Qatar’s “Gulf Times” newspaper has published an article marking the 35th Anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan, highlighting the dynamic strengthening of relations between Tashkent and Doha, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Publication emphasizes that cooperation between the two countries has gone far beyond diplomatic ties and encompasses investment, trade, energy, infrastructure, transport, tourism and education.

Particular attention is paid to the state visits by the leaders of the two countries in 2023, which gave new impetus to bilateral cooperation. In April 2024, Uzbekistan and Qatar signed the Agreement on Strategic Partnership, while in August 2025, the first meeting of the Coordination Council for Strategic Partnership was held in Doha.

According to “Gulf Times”, Uzbekistan represents a growing market for Qatar and opens up new investment opportunities, while Qatar is an important partner for Uzbekistan with high investment potential.

Newspaper also notes prospects for further expanding economic and humanitarian ties, as well as strengthening Uzbekistan’s role as an important link between Central Asia and global markets.
