ISLAMABAD, September 1. /Dunyo IA/. A flash mob was held at the Centaurus Mall in Islamabad as part of the Uzbekistan Tourism Days being held in Pakistan, organized at the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event featured the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence of Uzbekistan. The performers presented Uzbek national dances and songs, as well as musical works from other countries, including Pakistan.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Pakistan, including diplomats from Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba and Russia, as well as Uzbek nationals and representatives of leading media outlets, attended the event.

The performance attracted considerable interest among the Pakistani public. Spectators joined the artists in dancing to Uzbek melodies, creating an atmosphere of friendship and unity.

Photos and videos taken by local residents, journalists and bloggers quickly spread across social media.

Pakistani representatives praised the rich cultural heritage of the Uzbek people and congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on the upcoming Independence Day.

“I am very pleased to have taken part in the flash mob in Islamabad. The national pride of the Uzbek people, their rich culture, hospitality and deep love for their homeland made a strong impression on me,” said event participant Ihsan Ghaus.

He wished the people of Uzbekistan peace, prosperity and continued development, as well as further strengthening of the historic ties of friendship and brotherhood between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.

The organizers said the flash mob at Centaurus Mall was an important step toward strengthening Uzbekistan’s positive image and further developing cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries.
