BERLIN, August 28. /Dunyo IA/. Vanessa Ahuja, Executive Board Member for Benefits and International Affairs at the German Federal Employment Agency, has extended her sincere congratulations and best wishes to the people of Uzbekistan through Dunyo IA on the eve of the 35^th Anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan:

- In recent years, Uzbekistan has achieved significant progress in its development. Particular note should be made of the reforms aimed at economic liberalization, infrastructure development, as well as investments in education and healthcare. The fact that the country is becoming increasingly open to international cooperation is also of paramount importance. Expanding partnerships with European states, including Germany, particularly in the field of migration, opens up new opportunities for both sides.

Relations between Germany and Uzbekistan are developing dynamically, with the Federal Employment Agency making a vital contribution to this process. In particular, our Agency is actively participating in establishing mechanisms for implementing the German-Uzbek agreements in the field of migration. In the spring of 2025, a dedicated agreement was signed with the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan, aimed at developing fair and orderly labor migration to Germany.

One of the practical initiatives in this area is the “Future International Talents for German Climate Businesses” (FIT) program. It provides for attracting qualified specialists from Uzbekistan to the German labor market, primarily in technical and craft professions related to climate protection and the development of the “green” economy. Furthermore, within the framework of the APAL program - cooperation with countries in Asia and Latin America in the field of vocational training - young people are provided with the opportunity to receive dual vocational education in Germany in technical, manufacturing and craft specialties.

Although our cooperation is relatively new, we have managed to accumulate significant experience within a short period and establish partnership relations based on mutual trust and respect. I was particularly impressed by the high motivation of young people from Uzbekistan participating in our projects, their desire to acquire knowledge and master their professions. I have been able to witness this personally, both in Uzbekistan and at enterprises in Germany. It is equally important that within the framework of our cooperation, we can openly and constructively discuss matters regarding the further improvement of existing processes.

This cooperation is mutually beneficial and, above all, rewards the young people who participate in it. Germany is enabled to purposefully meet its demand for qualified personnel, thereby creating new opportunities for its economy. Young specialists from Uzbekistan, in turn, receive new professional prospects, opportunities for advanced training and international experience. In this sense, orderly and fair migration contributes not only to meeting the needs of the labor market but also to the development of human capital.

In the future, we intend to deepen our cooperation and jointly develop reliable, fair, and sustainable mechanisms for attracting qualified specialists. To achieve this, process transparency, clear legal and organizational conditions, as well as a shared understanding in both countries of how labor migration and integration processes should be implemented, are of critical importance. Our ultimate goal is to attract even more qualified specialists from Uzbekistan to the German labor market in the future and to ensure the sustainable development of this process in accordance with the interests of both nations.

Taking this opportunity, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the people of Uzbekistan and all partners of our country in Germany on this auspicious occasion - the 35^th anniversary of state independence. I wish your country further successful and sustainable development. I am confident that the cooperation between Germany and Uzbekistan will continue to strengthen based on mutual interests.
