Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia actively broadens its strategic partnership with Uzbekistan in the field of organized labor migration

DUSSELDORF, June 22. /Dunyo IA/. Representatives of the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main met with the State Secretary of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Christian Wiermer, in Dusseldorf, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks held at the state agency, the sides discussed prospects for expanding Uzbekistan–Germany interregional cooperation, including the development of trade and economic ties, industrial cooperation and partnership in the humanitarian sphere. 

Particular attention was paid to the issues of organized recruitment of Uzbek citizens to the German labor market, as well as strengthening cooperation with the relevant agencies of the federal state, including the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The parties also discussed prospects for cooperation with Germany’s leading industry associations, including the German Chemical Industry Association (VCI), in the areas of personnel training, technology transfer, and the implementation of investment projects.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides agreed to continue practical cooperation in all discussed areas, while the importance of expanding tourism exchanges between Uzbekistan and North Rhine-Westphalia was also particularly emphasized.
