MOSCOW, June 22. /Dunyo IA/. High school students from Uzbekistan have joined the “Train of Memory–2026” initiative, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The project started on June 20 and will run until July 5. During this period, around 200 school students from Uzbekistan, Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan will travel through key cities in Russia and Belarus, including Minsk, Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

This year, teenagers from the United States, the United Kingdom and France are also joining the international initiative for the first time.

Launched in 2022, the project is dedicated to the memory of heroes of the Second World War. Its main goal is to promote awareness of historical heritage, encourage patriotic education, and support intercultural dialogue among young people.

Participants will visit museums, memorial complexes and meet with veterans. The program also provides an opportunity to learn about the traditions and cultures of different countries, communicate with peers and build international connections.

The project is organized with the support of the governments of Belarus and Russia and annually brings together young participants with the shared aim of preserving the memory of past sacrifices.
