KUWAIT CITY, September 25. /Dunyo IA/. Representatives of Uzbekistan and the Kuwaiti hotel “Courtyard by Marriott” discussed opportunities for internships and employment of Uzbek students and educational institution graduates in the hospitality sector, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Videoconference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Embassy of the country in Kuwait, Migration Agency and Professional Education Agency, as well as a representative of “Courtyard by Marriott”, which is a brand of the international hotel chain “Marriott International”.

Parties reviewed the prospects of attracting students and graduates of professional educational institutions of Uzbekistan for internships and subsequent employment at the hotel.

Hotel representative noted that during the candidate selection process, special attention will be paid to professional training in tourism and technical specialties, as well as the level of English language proficiency.

Hired employees will be provided with accommodation, three meals a day, transport to the workplace, and medical insurance. Employment contracts are planned to be concluded for a period of one year. To organize the cooperation, parties agreed to prepare a memorandum of understanding.

Hotel will provide information on vacancies, candidate requirements, and remuneration conditions, after which the Migration Agency will conduct a preliminary selection of applicants.

Following the meeting, parties outlined the next steps, including the preparation and coordination of the draft memorandum, clarifying the list of vacancies and the subsequent launch of the candidate selection process.
