BAKU, September 25. /Dunyo IA/.   Political Analyst and Founder of the “BIZ CLUB” Intellectual-Discussion Platform Murad Sadaddinov commented for Dunyo IA on the address of the Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva at the General Debate of the 81^st session of the UN General Assembly in New York:

— The speech by Saida Mirziyoyeva became an important event not only for Uzbekistan but also for the whole of Central Asia.

In New York, the country’s stance was presented on issues of international security, UN reform, regional cooperation, Afghanistan, ecology, artificial intelligence and human capital.

In my view, the image of modern Uzbekistan presented to the international community carries particular significance. Human dignity, openness, good-neighbourliness and dialogue were named as the key benchmarks.

Special attention was paid to the new dynamics of Central Asia, where the countries of the region are gradually transitioning from contradictions to cooperation. In this context, Uzbekistan is increasingly participating in shaping the regional agenda.

Tashkent's position on reforming the UN also served as an important signal, including its support for expanding the Security Council and the nomination of Uzbekistan's candidacy for a non-permanent seat on the Security Council for 2035–2036.

Separately, the results of socio-economic reforms were presented, as well as initiatives in the areas of restoring the Aral Sea, developing renewable energy and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.

As a political analyst from Azerbaijan, I consider it important to note that strengthening the international authority of Uzbekistan is also significant for the broader Turkic world, given the growing dynamics of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

Main message of the speech, in my view, is openness instead of isolation, dialogue instead of confrontation, and cooperation instead of opposition. Uzbekistan strives to participate increasingly actively in shaping the regional and global agenda.
