BERLIN, July 8. /Dunyo IA/. Federal State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the Federal Republic of Germany has expressed strong interest in engaging skilled professionals from Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing with German online media outlet “ntv”.
A delegation headed by Jochen Schulte, State Secretary of the State Ministry for Economics, Infrastructure, Tourism, and Labour, has successfully finalized its official working mission to Uzbekistan.
In the framework of the official mission, State Ministry and the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. This landmark instrument is designed to solidify bilateral synergy in vocational education and regulated labour mobility.
Contracting parties reached an agreement on the pre-departure qualification of specialists, incorporating comprehensive German language instruction and technical training, while ensuring the establishment of frameworks for safe, ethical and equitable employment in full conformity with the legal statutes of the Federal Republic of Germany.
“Our industries face a critical demand for qualified personnel, necessitating a more robust and proactive international engagement on our part. Nevertheless, managed labour migration should not commence merely at the airport. Young prospects must be fully appraised of the professional landscape in Germany ahead of their departure, demonstrating linguistic proficiency, comprehensive technical expertise, and a reliance on explicitly secured working conditions”, - emphasized State Secretary Jochen Schulte.
Throughout the official mission, the delegation convened high-level consultations with key stakeholders, including state agencies, academic bodies, language training centers, private sector leaders and German educational foundations in Uzbekistan.
According to the State Secretary, the next operational phase will focus on identifying dedicated focal points to coordinate with chambers, industry associations, employment agencies, and private enterprises, alongside defining priority professions and designing practical frameworks for vocational instruction and secure placement.
Sides noted that the Federal Republic’s paradigm for engaging foreign professionals transcends mere recruitment, systematically incorporating comprehensive language and technical orientation, institutional legal safeguards, fair labour standards and sustainable social integration.
