ISTANBUL, October 12. /Dunyo IA/.  Systematic work is being carried out in Türkiye to ensure the employment of compatriots, create decent working conditions for them, protect their labour rights and legitimate interests and expand cooperation with Turkish companies, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Specifically, following negotiations conducted by the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in Türkiye with the “Hicri Ercili” company, which operates in the Turkish province of Balıkesir, opportunities have been established for the employment of citizens of Uzbekistan in the construction industry.

Within the framework of cooperation between the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in Türkiye, “Hicri Ercili” company and the “ADS Hukuk” law firm, arrangements are being made to attract 200 compatriots to work in Türkiye during the first stage.

Under this project, the first group of citizens of Uzbekistan recruited to work in the construction sector arrived in Istanbul and proceeded to their place of employment in Balıkesir province.

A meeting was held with representatives of the group of compatriots who arrived from the Andijan, Namangan and Fergana regions. The diplomats of the General Consulate briefed them on the requirements of local legislation, the rights and obligations stipulated under their labor contracts, as well as matters concerning consular protection.

In coordination with the “ADS Hukuk” law firm, documentation related to obtaining work permits, social insurance, timely payment of wages, as well as living and working conditions for the compatriots was also finalized.
