Uzbek culture showcased at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka

OSAKA, May 5. /Dunyo IA/. On the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan, a concert program was organized at the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan as part of the ongoing World Expo 2025 in Osaka, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The concert program featured performances of traditional "maqom" and "lapar" melodies by singers and musicians from Uzbekistan, as well as by Ambassador of Uzbek culture to Japan, Masha Komazaki, who played on national Uzbek musical instruments such as the tanbur, doira, and dutar.
Dancers also performed national dances that left a strong impression on the audience.
For reference, the World Expo 2025 opened on April 13 in Osaka and will run until October 13. More than 170 countries are participating in the exhibition, and the number of visitors is expected to exceed 28 million.
Uzbekistan is participating in the Expo with a national pavilion titled "Park of Knowledge", showcasing the country’s transformations in line with three priority sustainable development goals: quality education, affordable and clean energy, industrialization, innovation, and infrastructure.
