KUALA LUMPUR, April 29. /"Dunyo" IA/. The capital of Malaysia hosted a roadshow "Uzbekistan: Crossroads of Civilizations" and a presentation of tourism programs in the country, reports "Dunyo" IA correspondent.

The event was attended by more than 100 representatives of the tourism industry of Uzbekistan and Malaysia, including the tourism promotion agency Tourism Malaysia, the Islamic Tourism Centre, the leadership of the Bumitra Malaysia and tour operators.
Diplomats of Uzbekistan, representatives of the Tourism Committee, and the tourism department of Tashkent Hokimiyat presented information on the development of modern tourism infrastructure in the country and the creation of new tourist sites. Republican airlines Asia Tour Elite, Euroasiatravel, Samo and Tavakkalna Travel, and Uzbekistan Airways provided additional information about tourism programs.
In particular, opportunities such as heritage tourism, pilgrimage tourism, winter tourism, food tourism, and business tourism (MICE) were presented to Malaysians. It was emphasized that Uzbekistan has a rich cultural heritage, and new tourist centers and villages are being built.
Following the B2B meetings, specific agreements were reached to increase the number of Malaysian tourists in 2024.
