Tourism potential of Uzbekistan’s regions showcased at major international travel fair in South Korea

SEOUL, June 8. /Dunyo IA/. From June 5 to 8, one of the world’s largest international tourism exhibitions, the Seoul International Travel Fair, is taking place in the capital of South Korea, Seoul, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Uzbekistan is represented at the fair by a national stand, organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in South Korea, the Committee for Tourism, the State Unitary Enterprise "National PR Center," Uzbekistan Airways, as well as representatives of tour operators and the hospitality sector.
The event, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, the Korea Tourism Organization, the Korean Association of Travel Agents (KATA), and Visit Korea, is expected to attract over 120,000 visitors from more than 70 countries.
Around 800 exhibitors — including travel companies, tour operators, airlines, national and regional tourism boards, as well as major hotels and resorts — are participating in the exhibition.
Visitors and participants have the opportunity to explore the rich tourism potential of Uzbekistan, including its unique historical landmarks, recreational areas, national cuisine, and traditional crafts. The regions of Jizzakh, Navoi, Surkhandarya, Tashkent region, and the city of Tashkent are presenting colorful and informative exhibits showcasing their distinctive offerings and the country’s rapidly developing tourism infrastructure.
In addition, Uzbek tourism professionals are conducting a series of meetings with international partners to discuss opportunities for cooperation in promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential abroad and increasing the inflow of foreign tourists to the country.
This exhibition provides attendees with a comprehensive overview of the cultural heritage and tourism opportunities of each region of Uzbekistan, generating growing interest and admiration among international visitors.
