The participation of Uzbek tourism companies at this forum was organized by the Tourism Committee under the Ministry of Ecology, Environment, and Climate Change of Uzbekistan, with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany.

At our national stand, videos, photographs, and information about Uzbekistan’s gastronomy and other attractions were presented. Performances by artists from Uzbekistan vividly demonstrated the rich culture and arts of the country.

A total of 5,500 major companies and firms specializing in tourism, gastronomy, logistics, and travel technologies participated in the prestigious international exhibition, along with international experts from 170 countries.

During the fair, members of the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee delegation provided detailed information to Berlin residents, capital visitors, and international tour companies about Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, conditions created for local and foreign tourists and tour companies, the tourism infrastructure, and the rapid reforms being carried out in the sector in our country.

Additionally, Bodo Thöns, editor of the "Trescher Verlag" publishing house and author of numerous travel guides, presented a guidebook to Uzbekistan for tourists planning to visit the country.

Throughout the fair, there were numerous meetings between domestic tour operators to discuss industry cooperation. Uzbek tourism companies actively participated in "ITB-2025", showcasing the country’s cultural heritage and tourism potential. Following negotiations with foreign tour operators and travel agencies, new cooperation agreements were signed, which will strengthen Uzbekistan’s position in the international tourism market and further increase the flow of foreign tourists.

The "ITB Berlin" international travel and tourism exhibition, recognized as one of the world’s leading travel industry events, has been held since 1966. The total number of participants exceeds 160,000 visitors. The prestigious international congress "ITB Berlin" also takes place within the exhibition, where industry experts, speakers from the fields of economics, science, and politics present reports on a wide range of topics related to international cooperation.

Our correspondent spoke with the participants of the exhibition.

Victoria Nitsche, CEO of "Sicher Reisen Nitzsche GmbH":

"We have been working with Uzbekistan for 30 years, organizing tourism and business trips. In recent years, the number of not only travelers but also German companies interested in investing in Uzbekistan has grown. The ancient cities of your country, its unique culture, and opportunities for various types of tourism, including winter sports tourism, have become very attractive to German tourists. I can confidently say that Uzbekistan has great potential and a promising future in the tourism sector. Over the past few years, we have prepared more appealing projects for our clients."

Mirko Novak, CEO of "LUNO":

"Uzbekistan has been successfully participating in the Berlin International Tourism Fair for two years now and demonstrates its multifaceted tourism potential at a high level. A few years ago, I visited Uzbekistan, and the historical cities of Bukhara, Samarkand, and Khiva made a deep impression on me. We are planning to hold the 'Samarkand Festival’ in Hamburg this year. We want to introduce guests not only to the unique architecture of the ancient cities but also to the hospitality and traditions of the Uzbek people. As an entrepreneur, I see Uzbekistan as a new market with new opportunities for us. Two weeks ago, we held an event in your country dedicated to the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, or "Middle Corridor". In this event, we provided detailed information about Uzbekistan. Cooperation between Eurasia and Central Asia, holds great prospects, and we are working on this. The more we promote Uzbekistan in Germany, the more Germans will visit Uzbekistan."

Dalia Altuntepe, Founder and Managing Director of the German agency "Nüma":

"The Berlin International Tourism Fair hosts representatives from the tourism industry worldwide. We are pleased that Uzbekistan also participated with an interesting stand. The demand for tourism in Uzbekistan has sharply increased over the last two to three years. To attract more German tourists, in recent years, we have jointly implemented targeted projects with the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee, and this has yielded positive results. We must continue promoting the country’s tourism potential and strengthen its position in the tourism market.

German tourists love traveling to countries that are not yet fully explored by tourists, such as Uzbekistan. They are far from mass tourism. That’s why Uzbekistan is considered a very important tourist destination. The presence of eco-tourism, sustainable tourism projects, and alternative tourism routes also increases the country’s attractiveness as a travel destinationz".
