ISLAMABAD, April 9. /Dunyo IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan, in collaboration with the Tourism Committee under the Ministry of Ecology, Environment, and Climate Change, along with the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation, is organizing tourism festivals in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad under the theme "Uzbekistan – The Pearl of the Silk Road", reports the correspondent of Dunyo IA.

These events are aimed at promoting Uzbekistan's rich historical and cultural heritage, tourism potential, national customs and traditions, further strengthening cooperation in tourism, and fostering friendly relations between the two countries, as well as increasing mutual tourist flows.
The festivals will also contribute to further strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Pakistan through cultural ties, implementing agreements reached at high-level meetings in the tourism sector, advancing practical cooperation to new stages, and promoting mutually beneficial projects.
Local travel agencies, tourism companies, media, and tourism experts from Pakistan are invited to participate in the events.
During the festivals, visitors will be provided with detailed information about popular tourist destinations in Uzbekistan, including Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Tashkent, Shahrisabz, Kokand, and AkhsiKent, as well as opportunities in pilgrimage, cultural, gastronomic, and ecological tourism. Meetings between tourism companies from both countries in a B2B format are also planned.
The highlight of the event will be the opportunity to taste traditional Uzbek cuisine. It is expected that this gastronomic experience will spark even greater interest in Uzbek culture among Pakistani participants.
