Uzbekistan’s tourism potential actively promoted in Germany

BERLIN, May 1. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbekistan is gaining increasing recognition on the international tourism stage as a country located at the heart of the Great Silk Road, captivating travelers with its ancient history, rich cultural heritage, and hospitality, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

To further promote its unique tourism potential and increase the influx of tourists from Germany, the Embassy of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the media company ABC-Anda Business Communication GmbH, is conducting an extensive informational and educational campaign.

Since the beginning of this year, leading German publications such as Mitteldeutsche Zeitung, Aachener Zeitung, Magdeburger Volksstimme, Der Blick, Sonntagsjournal, Mein Südhessen, Generalanzeiger-Landkreis, Super Sonntag, Harzer Volksstimme, and other daily and weekly newspapers and magazines have published materials dedicated to Uzbekistan.

In these publications, Uzbekistan is presented as a country where ancient traditions seamlessly blend with modernity. Readers are provided with information about picturesque landscapes, unique nature, historic cities, and the country’s modern tourism infrastructure. The titles of the articles speak for themselves: "A Journey to the Land of One Thousand and One Nights", "Like an Eastern Fairy Tale", "Uzbekistan – An Attractive Destination Away from Mass Tourism", "Avant-garde Architecture", and others. These pieces detail the country’s tourism amenities and unique advantages.

Particular attention is paid to Samarkand by the German media. The articles highlight that this ancient city, located at the heart of the Great Silk Road, has served as a crossroads of civilizations and cultures for centuries. The historical significance of the architectural ensemble of the Registan Square, including the Ulugh Beg, Tilla-Kori, and Sher-Dor madrasas, is emphasized. Samarkand, which was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2001, rightfully holds its position as the country’s hallmark.

In addition, the publications cover the development of Uzbekistan’s modern transport infrastructure. High-speed trains connect Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, and other tourist-friendly cities, making travel across the country comfortable and fast. The articles also showcase opportunities for gastronomic tourism, markets with local products, and practical recommendations for tourists.

"One of the unique advantages of Uzbekistan for travelers is the availability of safe and personalized itineraries. This country remains an attractive destination – not only as a cultural bridge between the East and West but also as a safe and welcoming place for travel", write the German media outlets.
