Uzbekistan’s National Pavilion captivates visitors at Riga’s International Charity Fair

RIGA, November 26. /Dunyo IA/. At the traditional charity exhibition-fair held in Riga, Embassy of Uzbekistan presented a national pavilion showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage, enduring traditions, and dynamic modern development, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Participants from more than 25 countries, along with members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Riga, as well as representatives of non-governmental, regional and international organizations and the business community, attended the event. Our compatriots residing in Latvia also contributed to the gathering, adding a warm and friendly atmosphere to the occasion.
At Uzbekistan’s national pavilion, a wide range of informational materials highlighted the country’s tourism potential. The exhibits introduced visitors to Uzbekistan’s unique historical and cultural landmarks, its remarkable natural landscapes, and the modern tourism opportunities that the nation offers today.
The visitors showed great interest in the samples of Uzbekistan’s traditional applied arts, rooted in ancient craftsmanship, as well as in the handwoven textiles, national clothing and artisanal accessories on display. In addition, a selection of high-quality food products produced in Uzbekistan was presented, further showcasing the country’s rich cultural and culinary heritage.
Uzbekistan’s national pavilion drew strong interest from former and current high-ranking Latvian officials, ambassadors of foreign states, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of Latvian and international organizations, business circles, and numerous visitors. They praised the uniqueness of Uzbek culture, the craftsmanship of its artisans, and the country’s substantial tourism potential.
As part of the event, participants were also shown the promotional videos "Uzbekistan - Crossroads of Civilization" and "Samarkand - the Tourist Gateway to New Uzbekistan". The guests expressed strong interest in the world-renowned historical monuments of our country, the beauty of its ancient cities, and the distinct cultural and traditional heritage of the Uzbek people.
