Uzbekistan and Poland sign multiple agricultural agreements

WARSAW, December 22. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from Uzbekistan’s embassy in Poland, held a meeting with Lucjan Zwolak, Deputy Director General of the National Support Centre for Agriculture of Poland (Krajowy Ośrodek Wsparcia Rolnictwa - KOWR), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The discussions focused on further developing bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector. The talks concluded with several key agreements:
- Allocation of one of two KOWR-owned buildings located on the borders of the Mazovia and Lodz provinces for use as an Uzbekistan logistics hub on a reciprocal basis;
- Formation of project proposals during a visit to Poland by an Uzbek working group;
- Engagement of qualified Uzbek workers and students from agricultural universities in seasonal work across 40 agriculture-specialized companies affiliated with KCWR;
- Participation of Polish companies in the international UzFood – 2026 exhibition in Tashkent from 1–3 April 2026;
- Participation of Uzbek enterprises in the AGROTECH (Kielce, 13–15 March 2026) and POLAGRA (Poznan, 23–25 September 2026) international exhibitions.
During the meeting, Lucjan Zwolak highlighted that export-import ties between the two countries have been steadily expanding. In 2024, Uzbekistan imported €72 million worth of agricultural products from Poland, while exports from Uzbekistan to Poland reached €10 million. He emphasized that there is potential to triple these figures in the near future.
