University of Geological Sciences of Uzbekistan and France’s BRGM forge stronger cooperation across multiple Geological Science Areas

TASHKENT, December 27. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation from one of France’s leading state scientific institutions, BRGM (Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières), visited the University of Geological Sciences of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Discussions focused on establishing cooperation between the University and the French Geological Survey (BRGM), as well as prospects for future collaboration in scientific research, geology, geocartography, and professional training.
The meeting was attended by France’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Walid Fouque, and BRGM geologist Thomas Fullgraf, along with other officials.
Key agreements were reached on strengthening bilateral scientific cooperation, exchanging expertise, and implementing joint projects.
As part of the visit, a series of practical seminars were held covering topics such as “Fundamentals of Geological Exploration, Industry and Mineral Resource Surveying”, “Technical and Economic Aspects of Geological Exploration” and a discussion on “Mineral Extraction and Processing, Mine Closure and Post-Closure Management.”
The delegation’s visit was recognized as a significant step in advancing scientific and educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and France.
