Croatia backs key initiatives at UNESCO General Conference Session in Samarkand

Zagreb, November 3. /Dunyo IA/. On behalf of Croatia, Nina Obuljen Koržinek, Minister of Culture and Media expressed support for a series of initiatives during the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Assembly in Samarkand, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to reports from 'Večernji list’, 'Index.hr’, and 'Croatian Radio and Television’ (HRT), Nina Obuljen Koržinek, Minister of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, delivered a statement at the plenary session, outlining the priorities across all UNESCO program areas, including education, science, culture, and information technologies. The address emphasized Croatia’s commitment to advancing international cooperation and supporting initiatives that foster sustainable development and cultural exchange.
She highly praised the decision of UNESCO’s new Director-General, Khaled Ahmed Al-Anani Ali Ezza, to place people and the protection of their rights at the center of discussions on UNESCO’s future development.
The Minister also emphasized that Croatia will continue to provide full support for UNESCO initiatives aimed at promoting education, democracy, media literacy, freedom of expression, and the development of mass media.
