A large-scale historic and educational celebration in Osh highlights Kyrgyz-Uzbek friendship and cultural cooperation

• 113OSH, December 7. /Dunyo IA/. A major cultural and educational event was held at the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University named after B. Sydykov under the theme “The Great Silk Road – Unity Through Music”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event brought together university leadership, faculty, and students, representatives from Andijan State Pedagogical Institute, officials of the Uzbek Consulate, as well as teachers and students from Uzbek-language schools in Osh.
The program opened with a presentation showcasing the academic process of university, its scientific and technical capabilities, and the work of its laboratories and creative studios.
Participants also discussed ways to expand joint academic and cultural projects, and explored opportunities to establish mutual student exchange programs, further strengthening Kyrgyz-Uzbek educational and cultural cooperation.
In the afternoon, the auditorium of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University named after B. Sydykov hosted a grand concert by the “Afsona” Symphony Orchestra of Andijan State Pedagogical Institute.
The opening ceremony featured a speech by the Rector of the university, Abdilbaet Mamasydykov, who highlighted the dynamic development of Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation in recent years.
"The peoples of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are united by noble bonds, including shared history, culture, and humanistic values. It is well known that relations between our countries are rapidly advancing. Thanks to the political will and friendship of our leaders, new opportunities are being created across all spheres, including culture and the arts. Joint festivals, concerts, and creative exchanges like today’s event are a vivid confirmation of this", - he emphasized.
The concert program by the “Afsona” Symphony Orchestra was met with great interest and enthusiastic appreciation from participants and music lovers alike. Attendees described the performance as a “bright expression of the cultural closeness of the youth of both countries".
At the conclusion of the event, guests received letters of appreciation and commemorative gifts from the university administration. Both sides agreed to continue organizing similar cultural events in the future, including in Andijan region.
