Representatives of Uzbekistan and India discuss topical issues of partnership within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Delhi

NEW DELHI, April 14. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Sardor Rustambaev, met with India's National Coordinator for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Alok Dimri, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
At the meeting, issues of multilateral cooperation were discussed, in particular the initiative put forward by Uzbekistan to adopt the Declaration on Strengthening Multilateral Cooperation in the Field of Nuclear Security within the SCO framework.
The representative of India stated that Delhi is studying this topical issue with great interest. It was noted that the essence and significance of the draft declaration put forward are consistent with India's approaches to international security.
During the conversation, other issues of cooperation between the two countries within the SCO were also considered. An exchange of views took place on harmonizing the organization's agenda with its economic component, including the effective use of its platform for coordinating and promoting infrastructure and investment projects between India and the Central Asian states.
Attention was also paid to cultural and humanitarian ties within the SCO framework.
