Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan to Strengthen Cooperation in Higher Education

ASHGABAD, April 5. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshanbek Alimov met with Maksat Charyyev, Rector of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding partnerships between the institute and specialized universities in Uzbekistan. Special attention was given to promoting academic exchanges for students and faculty, developing joint educational programs, and enhancing cooperation in scientific research.

The dialogue also included an assessment of the institute’s work in studying and promoting the heritage of the great thinkers of both nations - Alisher Navoi, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, and Makhtumkuli Fragi.

Participants emphasized that cultural and educational events dedicated to the life and works of these prominent figures contribute to strengthening spiritual and cultural ties between the two brotherly nations.

In conclusion, both sides noted that the further development of educational cooperation serves as an important factor in reinforcing friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
