LUXEMBOURG, March 30. /Dunyo IA/. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Benelux countries, Gayrat Fazilov, held a meeting with Yves Kruchten, Vice-Chair of the Committee on International Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to elevate interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries to a qualitatively new level.
It was particularly noted that the participation of the Luxembourg delegation in the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, held in Tashkent, laid an important foundation for the activation of bilateral dialogue. As a logical continuation of this process, the establishment of the “Uzbekistan–Luxembourg” Friendship Group in the Oliy Majlis in December 2025, led by Alisher Agzamkhodjaev, Chairman of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investment, and Tourism, was highly appreciated.
To further develop this cooperation, an agreement was reached to hold additional consultations between the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg.
The parties also agreed to consider organizing a visit of the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies delegation to Uzbekistan.
