TASHKENT, December 6. /Dunyo IA/. On December 4, in Vienna, Munira Aminova, Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with a UNIDO delegation led by Fatou Haidara, Deputy Director-General and Managing Director of the Directorate for Global Partnerships and External Relations, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, during the talks, the parties discussed priority areas for expanding cooperation and prospects for a strategic partnership. They reviewed the preparation and signing of a framework cooperation agreement, as well as the initiative to establish a Regional Hub for Green Technologies, aimed at strengthening the region's innovative and environmental potential. Separately, they discussed an invitation for the UNIDO Director-General to visit Uzbekistan and the terms of opening an official UNIDO office in the country.
The parties also discussed the implementation of joint projects in pharmaceuticals, standardization, electrical engineering, and other priority areas supporting industrial development and the introduction of advanced technologies in Uzbekistan.
