Meeting with Uzbek nationals held in Istanbul with participation of Chairman of the Notarial Chamber of Uzbekistan

• 175ISTANBUL, March 6. /Dunyo IA/. A meeting was held at the building of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul between Dilshod Ashurov and Uzbek citizens temporarily residing in Türkiye who found themselves in difficult legal and social circumstances, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Citizens were informed about the legal and practical advantages of registration with the consulate, both permanent and temporary. Particular attention was given to simplifying document processing, ensuring prompt communication in emergency situations, and existing mechanisms for the legal protection of citizens’ interests abroad.
A separate segment of the discussion focused on individual cases. Each case was examined in detail and applicants received specific legal recommendations. In particular, explanations covered the procedures for taking minor children to Uzbekistan and obtaining notarized consent, lawful registration of property rights within the country and the possibilities for issuing powers of attorney remotely. Additionally, guidance was provided on the participation of citizens who had fallen victim to fraud in investigative procedures and on mechanisms for protecting their interests through legal representatives.
As part of the meeting, a presentation of the electronic platform e-notarius.uz was held. Participants were shown the capabilities for performing notarial actions remotely, as well as issuing electronic powers of attorney and applications. It was noted that the use of digital services allows Uzbek citizens abroad to significantly save time and financial resources.
Following the event, an agreement was reached to further strengthen cooperation between the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul and the Notarial Chamber of Uzbekistan. In particular, plans include expanding the practice of mobile consultations and organizing meetings in other regions of Türkiye to enhance access to qualified legal assistance for citizens.
